COMPANY PROFILE
The Technical University has been providing higher education since 1953 and carries out scientific, research and development activities. The university consists of three technical faculties, namely the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Textiles, the Faculty of Mechatronics, Informatics and Interdisciplinary Studies, two humanities faculties, namely the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Humanities, the Faculty of Pedagogy and the Faculty of Economics. The university also includes the Institute of Health Studies and the center of excellence – the Institute for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies and Innovations (CXI).

The Institute for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies and Innovations (CXI) provides companies with solutions to research tasks, where the results are directed into commercial practice. The institute has unique equipment that is used for research work and specific orders from industry. The main areas where CXI offers its research and development capacities are materials research and competitive engineering for the areas of automobile production, environmental technology and nanotechnology.
